The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Bacchus let out a childish laugh as he ran into a crowd waiting at an intersection; the giant shifter didn’t exactly have time to stop for traffic so he didn’t. Plowing through them Bacchus ran out into the street and smacked an oncoming car on the hood causing it to stop immediately and the back tires to lift off the ground for a second before he took off running again. Honestly, he was ten feet tall at this point; you’d think people would get out of the way for him.
The hulking drunk wasn’t worried about cops at this point, too many people for a shoot out and if he didn’t stop running they wouldn’t be able to stop him. Bacchus could have jumped straight up and onto a building to get away but he was for once a little concerned with the public as well. Mainly because they didn’t really do anything to deserve being part of a hit and run or a shoot out. At this point Bacchus wasn’t sure what the thugs planned on doing all he knew was when they recognized him they called some buddies because there was now three town cars and a van. Could he have handled them without running? Sure, but where was the fun in that?
The thugs he guessed worked for somebody he must have slighted when he rescued Ali. Sure he took the job to kidnap Ali in the first place but guilt and sobriety seemed to goad his conscience into relating the kid to a girl who was like his sister back home. One he was no longer able to see.
Shifting his gaze he looked over his shoulder and spotted the vehicles still in pursuit traffic didn’t seem to bother them either. Shifting his weight and reaching out towards a traffic post Bacchus held tight and pulled himself around allowing him to turn faster on the corner. He plowed into a few more people but he kept running trying to make his way towards a less crowded place. All the while he was laughing.
New York was a varied place, home to people of all creed and color, and even more so when you included the large mutant population. So it wasn't unusual to see an oddity or three, however rare was the instant when perhaps two mutants so used to being looked up to or being the center of attention crossed pathes. Ryoga had left the Mansion grounds today with permission to once again explore the city and show off his majestic self to the masses, though many of them had become someone used to the beast while still in awe of his pressence. However Ryoga would encounter a first for himself this day, as his escort had early ran off due to some emergency call, which had now turned the street and entered into the Dragon's line of sight.
A large man...no a giant had turned the corner, and this one just so happened to be a bit taller than Ryoga was used to. The self proclaimed God's eyes became glued to Bacchus as he turned down the street Ryoga had been waltzing through, the two of them on opposite sides, but their size pretty much making it impossible for either mutant to miss the other. The giant however, seemed in a hurry as he was being pursued. Ryoga had zoned out for the moment, his mind trying to judge the spectacle he'd just seen, before he realized that this situation was quite chaotic. A giant running from a speeding car? Certainly someone was breaking the law, and whiel Ryoga was no saint, he didn't enjoy random bouts of chaos in general, but today he felt he might just get involved. He spoke one word before he turned and prepared to follow the pursuit himself, his large size and visage perhaps enough to also startle Bacchus' tail.
"Omoshiroi!"
He said slipping into his native Japanese, before taking off into the streets as well, creating perhaps the most conspicuous spectacle New York had seen in months, maybe even years. A ten foot tall man running from some thugs, all of it chased by more than a ton of draconic Deity.

A bullet smacked him on the back of his back and melted through his shirt. A burn he’d have to put some ointment on later but for now he’d focus on finding somewhere to get to. Somewhere out of the publics eye mainly because he didn’t the public should get shot for something he did. The giant was nice like that.
Another rounded corner then another and Bacchus started to get into a little more vacant area of the city it was far from empty but the streets at least were clear enough and it was right under one of the train bridges so if the cops or news did want to get some footage it’d be next to impossible to get it from an aerial point of view. The last thing he wanted was to hear Ulysses complain how he should keep laying low. He was tired of that as is.
Once he spotted the car round the corner he slowed to a trot and kicked up his density and size another foot or two hoping a little intimidation would deter them from wasting their bullets. Sure they hurt but a few burns would be the brought of it unless they were packing a cannon. Just in case Bacchus walked over to a parked cab and placed his arm on it as he was catching his breath, Bacchus wasn’t much of a long distance runner even if he was enjoying himself.
The first car slowed to a crawl and revved it’s engine twice before the giant heard the tires screeching and the smoke billowing off of the blacktops. Bacchus just started to laugh only this time it was far louder than a giggle as it was amplified by his mutation. If they were guys that worked for the people he stole Alli back from they might have heard about the laugh.
Stepping away from the taxi cab and into the middle of the street the giant gave a large one finger salute to the driver and crouched down, ”Let’s give it a burl!”

Ryoga hadn't been sure at first of whom he should side with, if any between these two parties, but gunfire in public was enough to help him settle. Guns were weapons, and to fire one off in public was issuing a threat to the public, and the authority that protected them. Ryoga was a selfish and arrogant creature, bordering on cruel at times. But to threaten the general public, that was an affront the God could get behind punishing. Afterall, that was a God's resonsibility wasn't it?
Unaware that Bacchus had been leading the chase into an area away from the public, Ryoga trailed behind, waiting to see how the Giant would run the confrontation, turning the corner the dragon noticed the man had grown even larger. What an interesting ability, just how large could this man get? Would his size match his will? The laugh bellowed, loud enough to nearly be felt if Ryoga had been a mortal or mutant, but instead it seemed the card had no fear and charged the man, hoping the vehicle would out match the giant. Foolish, even if the card smashed the Giant to death, the vehicle would likely be damaged in the process and possibly injure the men driving it.
Using the excitement to move closer, the dragon turned the corner and came up behind where the car had begun it's charge. It would surely look like some fable, mortals caught between two mythical creatures, a dragon and a giant. The self proclaimed God spoke, forcing his presence into the attention of everyone there, his own voice just as heavy as the Giant's laugh.
"Mortals! Stop this foolishness! Or the Giant will be the least of your issues!"
Ryoga growled, the sudden addition of another massive mutant probably only a bad sign for this fight.

Smarter thug members would have gotten out of the first van however the doors remained shut as the engine revved. Bacchus noticed the second and third and forth vehicles doors open thought his attention shifted as a lizard like beastie around his natural height was now in view. He mentioned something about mortals and a giant. Bacchus would have listened closer but the screeching of the tires brought him back to the van as it rammed into him at full speed.
The van stopped abruptly as Bacchus’s feet slipped backwards slightly and broke into the concrete as he started to lift the van. The tires still were rolling but it was no longer going anywhere. Laughing some more and flipping the van Bacchus set it down and then stood upright. Walking to the side he could hear some grown men screaming inside and loading some guns. One yelled fire and a few bullets whizzed out through the sliding door and bounced off of the giant’s hardened skin. No big caliber bullets yet which meant they weren’t prepared for the giant. Kicking the over turn van and pushing it rolled onto it side.
Bacchus roared and his size inflated another two feet as he ignored the van and it’s occupants and started running towards the other three cars and the lizard guy. If they brought another mutant to fight him then he better be able to take a good hit.
Bullets started hitting his chest and started to burn holes into his shirt as they compacted against his body then fell to the ground. Burns would be all that was left of the bullet marks but he was used to that. Unless they had something bigger this was going to be a breeze.

The Dragon watched as his command fell on deaf ears, the car rammed the giant, who made short work of it by flipping the vehicle over. An effective means of dealing with it Ryoga thought, though his attention never wavered from the fact that this was a serious brawl. It seemed the men's weapons were all but useless against the giant man, doing no more than ruining his already torn clothing. It seemed the other men in their cars hadn't had enough yet, as none of them fled the scene, and instead Ryoga was now standing behind them as Bacchus began to charge towards them.
The dragon's eyes opened a bit in surprise as the giant grew larger yet again, just how massive could this man get? Even Ryoga himself was becoming diminuative by comparison if he kept up the same rate. However it seemed the giant hadn't realized that Ryoga was not with these criminals, as his charge was easily directed at Ryoga himself.
The God narrowed his eyes and mentally prepared himself to have to dirty his own hands. He had intended to simply end this chaos with his presence, but it seemed these men were too ignorant to respect the authority of a God. Perhaps Ryoga could show the giant a weapon big enough to make things interesting, instead of backing down or showing any sign of fear, he simply waited. Within moments the giant came into Ryoga's zone of reach, and the dragon spun around in a circle, lashing out at Bacchus with his thick tail, the massive limb more than heavy enough to smash through a brick wall if Ryoga wanted, meaning Bacchus just might feel some kick.

If Bacchus wasn’t sure before he was now. The thugs brought along a giant walking Komodo dragon as some muscle. Bacchus could tell this as he spun a few times before crashing into a car and making a rather giant sized dent. He laid there half in the car and half out chuckling. His head was swimming and it had been some time since he actually felt someone hit that hard. His chuckle turned into a laugh, as he slowly got up still dizzy from the hit. His vision blurred for a second as he shook his head and stood upright.
A bullet smacked against the side of his face and his skin hardened yet again. If it was any closer to the eye he might have lost vision till he could find a healer. Bacchus gave the one-fingered salute again to the thugs as he grabbed a car door and flung it toward the guy who nearly blinded him. Shifting his attention back to the lizard king Bacchus beat his oversized chest once. He had seen this before. King Kong vs. Godzilla one of the few movies he saw with his father. He hated that dead beat. His blood boiled a little and he started slamming his foot into the ground braking the concrete this was going to be a good day.
Maybe they weren’t going to shoot at him while he was engaged with the lizard king. That thought ran through his head as Bacchus was already charging at him again this time ready for the tail if it was coming. ”Day keeps getting better and better!” Bacchus grunted as he grabbed hold of the lizard king and ran him into the nearest car.

The weight of Ryoga's tail hit the man like a ton of bricks, sending him sprawling into a vehicle and ruining the car. Such a blow would have snapped any normal man in two, but the giant had already gotten up? Ryoga's eyes widened a bit as he thought about such a feat. Impressive, but considering the size of this mutant his physical strength must be tremendous. Ryoga wondered what a man could do with such power if he had the mind too.
The thugs continued to fire upon the giant, their weapons remaining totally useless, but making the dragon certain that none of these men were reputable. "Cowards and criminals, I will see you all beaten." The dragon mumbled in disgust as the men continued their violence, though it seemed the giant had finally had enough of their barrage of stones as he demolished the car and then used it to demolish the gunmen.
Ryoga actually tensed up in response to Bacchus battle cry, the weight of the voice enough to even make a God pay attention. "Rethink your choice giant." He spit at Bacchus, but the giant wasn't here to talk with Ryoga, as he charged down the street to meet the dragon once more. Ryoga had considered simply slapping the giant once more with his tail, but such a move required time to spin, and having the giant in his face meant he had no time for pretty moves. The giant wanted to brawl, and nothing brawled quite as well as 1100 pounds of atomic fury.
Ryoga growled as Bacchus smashed into him and pushed him back into a car. "You dare!" He hissed pass his fangs, as his claws dug into the asphalt beneath them, tearing great cuts into the stone as the car gave way to their combined weight. Ryoga grunted, but responded in kind by striking forward in an attempt to bury his fangs into Bacchus shoulder meat. At this point, the few remaining thugs might take the hint and flee from the two titans fighting, but it was yet another moment for them to waste bullets on the two bullet proof mutants if they hadn't learned their lessons yet.

With the fangs in his neck Bacchus started laughing, yeah it hurt but it was rare he actually got injured in the city unless it was by another mutant or he let himself get hit. Bacchus was always up for a little pain. It helped him hate himself less. His skin on his back burned but quickly became denser to prevent the beastie from pulling out any flesh. Growing another foot in size as well Bacchus continued to laugh followed by a grunt and a closed fist to the dragons chest.
Raising his fist up once more to come down on the back of the dragons head he added, ”Yer jaw strength is about as tough as a crocs. Believe me mate, this ain’t nothing!” he brought his fist down trying to connect but was distracted as a bullet crashed against his nose.
Lucky shot but once again too close to comfort. Turning his head Bacchus looked to the shooter and gave him the finger, ”Big boys are talking here!” his voice echoed with the power of his mutation as he tried to push himself free from the dragon. He needed to get rid of the shooters if he was going to enjoy this fight. ”Clearly they don’t give a **** bout you mate.”

Teeth pierced flesh, but not as easily as Ryoga had been expecting, the giant continued to grow further, and his musculature was becoming quite thick, even for the dragon to damage. However he happened to be biting into a thicker spot as well, meaning he might just need to focus on softer more vulnerable areas of the human form. His bite was quickly broken as Bacchus brought a fist into Ryoga's chest, the blow forcing the dragon to cough and release his grip from his foe. Ryoga snarled, but a secondary hit to his head quickly shut him up, though the blow was merely jarring rather than damaging, as the thugs began to open fire once more upon the giant mutant.
The giant taunted Ryoga, comparing him to a mere crocodilian, if Bacchus underestimated Ryoga he might just find himself going home with some serious scars today. Ryoga's eyes took the moment to glare at the thug who'd shot at them both, memorizing the foolish mortal who would attack a God. Bacchus pushed Ryoga back, and the dragon rolled with it, freeing himself from the grapple as well, as there were other concerns to focus on for the time at hand. He snarled as Bacchus grouped him with common criminals.
"You insult me mutant, to think I would ever serve the means of common criminals. I have no mercy for honorless men!" He spat back, remnants of the giant's blood spraying from his mouth. "Your dispute disturbs the peace, and it's clearly you they're after." He said snidely, assuming if he freed himself from Bacchus, the annoyance of gunfire would cease to bounce off his hide..

The giant laughed when the lizard said he had no honor. He had more honor than most just mostly it was overlooked of the payout was big enough. Now however, there was no payment just thugs chasing him to a less populated area of the city along with a lizard with a ‘I’m the best’ complex. Bacchus shrugged and answered the lizard with a simple explination, ”Ain’t no boozers on this side of town scales. Why you think I’m here?”
Bacchus stepped away from the lizard and grabbed a car and hefted it towards the gunman who stopped firing to dodge the flying car. Bacchus turned back to the lizard, ”Then why you here? Not with them? Just here to start a fight you can’t win?” Bacchus charged the lizard again hoping to tackle him into the nearest building.

Ryoga was growing tired of bantering with the crude giant, and the various futile but frustrating attacks by what thugs still remained was taking up what other patience he had as well. He'd have to put them in their place and be on his way, if he could figure out a way to deal with the giant and his lust for combat. "I don't presume to understand the thoughts of crude mortals, but I'm sure you thought it quite ingenious." He taunted as his eyes remained glued to the ever growing mutant.
How much larger would he get? At this point Ryoga was already the smaller creature, and for a God to be smaller than any other being was frustrating enough, but the strength something of that size would have wasn't reasonably concerning. The giant threw another insult his way and charged again, the man was nothing if not persistent. The dragon sneered. "I dislike disruptions of the peace, but you shouldn't presume to understand what I am capable of!" The dragon opened his wings and created a showy presence as Bacchus neared, before turning to one side and using one of his wings to forcibly propel himself to the side of the giant's charge, avoiding capture and hopefully placing himself in a position to counter attack.
If Ryoga could not bite through the man's massive muscles, he'd find a softer target, the dragon lashing out with his fangs as he tried to take a good hold of Bacchus' sides. Any warrior knew to find a weak spot, and the reptilian predator was no exception. He wasn't some prince that knew nothing of combat.

Wings, the lizard had wings. Meaning he was more like a bird/lizard hybrid. Or some kind of dragon. No if he was a dragon he would have been breathing fire or going after gold. Stories existed for a reason right? Bullets burned through his shirt as he charged the beast and missed. It was frustrating really, Bacchus was bigger than him and stronger all he had to do was get his hands on him. Sadly the lizard didn’t want to play blow by blow which was Bacchus’s favorite when he met someone who could take a punch.
Teeth locked onto his sides and Bacchus shifted his weight and slammed his feet to the ground and tensed his muscles. His crocodiles back at the warehouse did something similar when they thought they could turn Bacchus into a meal but they always forget who they are messing with. Bacchus’s body became denser when he felt one of the fangs puncture his side. It wasn’t deep just enough to hurt a little. Bacchus started to laugh and then fell backwards with his new weight trying to throw all of it on the lizard’s body.
”For a lizard with wings you are pretty creative. Ain’t gonna be no barrel roll with me though.” Bacchus reached under himself and reached for the lizards limbs, any would do all he had to do was grab one and pull hard. With his enhanced strength it might hurt a bit as well.
