The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Jude, apparently, did not have the same issues with thinking of what to say that Persi did. Of course, Jude apparently thought it was normal to fake kiss fake boyfriends half his age for the sake of a phone contest, so that probably helped. "We do?" Persi didn't bother with whispering, fake or otherwise; his mind was a bit too busy flailing at the last five minutes to pay attention. It also wasn't paying enough attention to notice himself signing Blake Blair on the forms the announcer passed out and collected. The second B was lower case, like he'd been signing it for years, to make it less obviously alliterative.
And then they were back on stage, and Persi couldn't look at the crowd or at Jude without blushing again, because fake kiss. Which, mainly, resulted in a lot of blushing, since he didn't know where else to look.
Persi mostly ignored the hand squeezing his; it was really not significant after fake kiss! as his brain was still screaming, and anyway, he was distracted. By the attempts not to blush, and also by the drumroll, which was entirely unnecessarily dramatic and suspenseful and they really didn't need to be wasting time on that instead of just saying--
"Alex and Jude!"
--oh. Persi... had not honestly expected that. He blinked, then smiled, which was only partly deliberate. At least the humiliation (fake kiss!) wasn't pointless.
Jumping up and down! Jude practically picked Blake up in his efforts to have his "boyfriend" jump with him. The cameras, the crowd, the confetti, the congratulations- this whole thing had turned out larger than he had ever expected.
There was a short awarding ceremony where the host handed them each a box and an oversized red envelope that had some contract stuff that Jude couldn't care less about at the moment because they were flipping rock stars!
It all sort of went by in one euphoric blur. Eventually the cameras powered down and the crowd started to disperse. Crew members came to break down the band's equipment and this impromptu stage and Blake and Jude were left to either leave or stick around to gawk.
Jude was itching to tear into his phone box and get that awesome new gadget out. "Are you... hungry or somesing?" It was not enough to repay his new pal, but maybe it would be a start. "My treat?" Honestly Jude needed to calm down some and Blake just seemed to be in shock. They could clearly both use something in their stomachs.

Persi squeaked when Jude grabbed him. Fake kiss fake kiss fake kiss! Another kiss didn't happen, though, fake or not, and Persi finally managed to start relaxing when Jude let go.
Of course, relaxing meant that Persi noticed the cameras and crowd and there were people looking at him. That led to him blushing again, but this time he was aware enough to notice it, which meant he was blushing more, and ended up trying to subtly hide behind Jude. It was a relief when the cameras and crowd started to disappear, and there was fairly quickly not much more attention on them. He wondered how long he'd been holding onto the phone's box and envelope.
"Er." It took a moment for Persi's mind to refocus and comprehend the question. "Not really. Maybe? Um, if there aren't people around?" There was a guy standing a ways away still watching them; Persi eyed him back. People needed to stop staring.
