It wasn't a very long walk from Tses's to Chloe's. Definitely not long enough to shake those bad feelings he was feeling. Why was it that every time things started going good, they turned sour again? Oh well, it was too late now, he'd already left. Maybe she just needed time. Time. Time would heal. He hoped.

His hair was a mess, strewn all over his head. But he didn't care. In no time at all, he reached his sister's apartment, if one would call it that. He attempted to fix his hair with his hand before knocking on the door, brushing aside those feelings of negativity. After all, Chloe didn't do anything.

"Hey Chloe? You home?"

Butterfly was just laying on the couch with the battery powered TV on, watching something so she wouldn't feel so alone. When she heard a knock on her door and heard Ty's voice, she jumped up and open the door and met him with a big hug. When she saw him his hair was a mess still and she could definitely tell that there was something wrong, but she didn't wanna try and pry just yet. Maybe he would tell her and confide in her. After all, that's what brothers and sisters did, right?

After hugging her brother, she let him come in and she sat back on the couch. "I'm so glad you came back. I was scared that you were gonna just leave me. So what have you been up to?'

Ty was shocked by the door flying open and suddenly being greeted by a hug. But he found his arms wrapping around her, affectionately returning it. So this is what a hug feels like, he found himself thinking, but he quickly shunned those thoughts, telling himself that Tses just wasn't used to that. Not that it helped any, especially now that he knew what a real, voluntary hug felt like, and one that lasted more than a brief second at that.

Pulling back, he blinked, looking at her with a chuckle. "Chloe? I just saw you yesterday, ya goof," he teased. Walking inside and plopping on the love seat, he stretched out. "I didn't do anything much, just went to Tses's, and now....well here I am?"

Butterfly smiled after the hug and playfully slapped his shoulder when he called her a goof. "Well when you're used to people always leaving you all the time, then you sort of get anxious when someone leaves and you don't know if they'll be back. Especially if they are someone you're really starting to care about."

"How is Tses by the way? Did you tell her about me? Does she not like me and get mad at you? she asked Ty. She really wanted Tses to like her, but she didn't want their relationship to suffer just because of her. She hoped that maybe she could meet Tses soon. She wondered what she looked like and what she would be like. She had to be cool to be her brother's girlfriend. At least she hoped she was.

"Yeah, true," he replied, sort of flinching at her question. "Oh, she's good," he answered, his voice cracking a little."Actually she's hoping you like her." Ty sighed, deciding maybe he could go out on a limb and open up to his sister.

"Well, she got mad, but not about you. Seems like we're always arguing about one thing or another...I don't know what it is, she just isn't used to closeness or anything like that. I'm scared to put my arm around her sometimes because I might get my head bitten off. It's....well I love her to death but sometimes it really takes a toll on me, ya know? I mean...I know she feels the same way, but it's the fact that she doesn't show or say it too often..."

He let out a soft sigh, blushing a little. "In fact, she saw us walking yesterday, and I had to explain that I wasn't cheating on her."

Butterfly listened and was actually surprised when he said that she was hoping that she would like her. "Of course I'll like her. As long as I can spend some time with you too. And I'd like to meet her."

She listened more as Ty opened up to her. She was hoping that he would. That's what she has wanted. She wanted someone she could open up to and be close to. "I'm sorry Ty." she said, rubbing his shoulder."Maybe she'll open up the more love you show her and tell her that you wanna be around her no matter what happens. Even if things go from bad to worse."

Butterfly listened more and then saw him blush when talking about Tses thinking that Ty was cheating on her. "Awwwww. Yeah that must have seemed really bad to her. You walking around with some other girl. At least she knows now that I'm your sister. So when can I meet her?"

"I tried that before, somewhat," Ty said softly. "Sometimes it works, sometimes it pisses her off..." He sighed. "Sorry...things just didn't end so well. I finally got some time to be close, and she tensed up and pushed me away. And well...here I am." He shook his head, shaking away the thoughts.

"Oh, you will. She suggested we spend new year's at her place. Watch the fireworks, just the three of us." Ty chuckled, smiling at her as his hair fell in his face and he brushed it aside. "Sorry for making you sit through my problems," he murmured.

"Ya know...what do you say we go out or something? Maybe spend the day having fun? Unwinding a little. You know, escape our problems and stuff." Ty looked over at her hopefully.

Butterfly listened as Ty talked with her about his girlfriend. "Just keep on showing her love no matter what happens. Maybe during the moments when she gets mad is when she needs it the most."

When Ty talked about spending New Year's with her, Butterfly got really excited. "That'll be so cool. I can't wait." And when he apologized, Butterfly replied with "What are sisters for?" messing up his hair playfully.

Upon the request to go out in the city and have fun and actually spend quality time with her, Butterfly got even more excited and almost screamed "Yay! Of course we should. Besides I need to be able to figure out where I'm going in this city anyway and it'll give you a chance to help me figure it out." She leaned over and hugged her brother again. She was so glad that she had someone that actually wanted to spend time with her. She should have had him around a long time ago. And she was so happy that she would have another sister like person in her life too. She couldn't wait to meet Tses and have her as another part of her family.

Ty nodded, listening intently. "That's what I'm trying to do. But I know it'll be worth it in the end. I mean, I've seen under that tough exterior. Some days she's just harder to crack than others, I guess." He sat up with a light shrug. He made a face when she messed up his already messed up hair, then laughed as he stood up, greeted by another hug.

Pulling out his wallet, he quickly assessed his funds for the day. He'd still managed some good hauls in his free time, so they were good there."So, I figured we could start by hitting up the mall? That would take up a whole day, no?" He smiled, happy to see her like this. Disappearing into the bathroom, he combed his hair and rejoined her in the living room.

"So, as soon as you're ready we can hit up a cab and go."

Butterfly got up off the couch and straightened her clothes out. She loved going to the mall in Macon. So she was thinking that the one in New York would be bigger. When Ty mentioned going to the mall, she got excited and said "That'll be fun and it'll probably take the whole day."

When he came out the bathroom and told her they could leave when she got ready, she said that she was ready to go and was almost to the door and wanting Ty to come along. She was so happy to be spending time with her brother.

Ty had to chuckle at the sudden excitement. It made him happy, even erased how sad he felt about the night before. He was actually going to do something nice. And it was appreciated before they even left the apartment--and on top of that, he knew it right away.

Stepping out of the apartment, Ty had an idea. "Oh hey, how bout instead of a boring expensive old taxi, we're taking the subway~"

Sitting on the subway was probably the most boring part of the day. But once they got off, and Ty stepped into the store, it went from a subway station straight into a JC Penny. Clothes as far as the eye could see. "Holy crap man..." he murmured, looking over to Butterfly.

When Ty told her that they would be taking the subway instead, she replied "I've never been on a subway before." They walked to get on the subway and Butterfly was just taking in all the details and excitement of traveling this way for the first time.

When Ty and Butterfly got off the subway and stepped into the JC Penny, Butterfly stood with her jaw dropped and was amazed at just the sure size of clothes. She was sure that this wasn't the only floor. She couldn't even begin to fathom just how big this mall was. The one in Macon was miniscule compared to this one. She was so overwhelmed with it all that she didn't even hear Ty say Holy crap man.... Butterfly just started to walk forward and look at the clothes she found appealing. She picked up a dress and held it up against her and asked her brother if he thought she would look good in it.

Ty was amazed at the size of this one store, and he knew there was more to it. But he was snapped out of this daze when Butterfly asked how she'd look in a dress. The dress was pretty, but he was sort of taken aback by this. After all, no one had ever asked him something like that before. But it was sweet.

"Yeah, I think so," he said, then shot her a mischievous smile. "Then again I think you'd look good in anything you wear. After all, you're my sister." Ty brushed his hair out of his face, playfully nudging her as he took in the sights and sounds of the mall.

"Funny....I've been here six years, never stepped foot inside any of the malls."

Butterfly smiled when Ty said that he thought she would look good in it. She laughed a little when he said that she would look good in anything she wore because she was his sister. She laughed at his mischievous smile, but it felt so good to actually be claimed by someone. Knowing that they weren't afraid to call you a relative and to actually spend time with you. This was a feeling that Butterfly had been so desperately wanted from her family but never got. And the one person she knew the least about was the one person that showed her the most care and love. She was so glad that she had found him and that they were related, even if she did pick on him at first.

She nudged him back playfully, looking as well at all the people and business going on inside the mall. "I've been to the one in Macon, but its not nearly as big or as cool as this one. Now that I think about it Ty, it'll take more than a day to get through this mall, but at least we can cover most of it. Wanna keep walking around JC Penny or find another store?"

Ty gave a smile, looking around. "Yeah, I was little last time I went to the mall. Something I never really did after Mom died." His eyes scanned the store still thinking through her question. "Yeah, we can keep moving," Ty replied, making his way through the JC Penney, an up the stairs to the next level, which was, as he suspected, still JC Penney.

"Whoa, this place is huge..." Then, his eye caught a shirt, and he had to go look at it. "Dude...whatcha think?" he held it up to show her. This was actually fun. Ty couldn't remember the last time he went shopping like this.
