The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Okay, I have thought of a kind of cool idea that might work or it might not, so I'm just gonna throw it out there. I was thinking of a sub board, somewhere on the site, where we can discuss our characters IC actions OOc. Such as giving a sort of method behind the madness if you will.
Maybe even there we can post up possible "I would like my solo looked over to make sure it goes with my character" posts or just in general people asking for critiques of thier solos because solos are sort of like small stories and that way we might know if people are reading them and we should continiue or maybe take helpful suggestions.
Not only that but there can be a kind of a Q&A about certain characters actions or maybe discussions about certain posts. I know it seems sort of silly but it might give a more living feeling to the whole board. Making it seem like we are writing more of books than posts on a site. I know the c box gives us a chance to do this but it's much more exciting to see the critiques posted in a board like setting than in a passing notice on a chat box.
Also I know we have the members area or the plot area to discuss plots, but this is more of dicussing a thread while it is happening sort of thing.

This is a cool idea. I know a few people have tried something similar in the past, but it's sort of fizzled--I've always liked the concept, though.
I'd recommend starting it as a thread in the Member's Area first--if it has steady popularity and staying power, then we'd see about getting it an actual board. Like how the "RP Requests" started as a single thread, back in the day... that got so cluttered we had to give it a sub board, which got so popular it was brought to the main page, and now we don't know how we ever lived and plotted without it.
See, I remember those sort of critique threads that sort of fizzled out and I always wondered if they fizzled out exclusively because they were just thread and not their own separate boards since this sort of board would cover a huge range of subjects and keeping track of all of those would be difficult in a single thread in the members area which gets constantly swallowed by the game threads or what have you.
I'll Make the post tomorrow though, to give it a shot.
