The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

he listend to Aura's ideas, she was sounding more reasonable lately for some reason, not quite so strait for throat as he had remembered a younger version of her being, was she maturing or was the affects of Allison already being felt on the young woman.
"Oh?" Venus stopped and turned to the girl. if that was true she was Magic. He had known many beautiful women and men in his life...if she could apply her trade to them. His mouth subconsciously salivated. "Do tell."
Even better was the mischief on her face, he might even be able to talk the pretty little thing into helping him out. Take a date home, introduce them to the little blonde and enjoy what ever treasure he had found that night, that much more. He wondered if she liked shopping, he could buy her things and she could tap soccer moms here and there. his imagination was getting away from him, maybe he should make sure she could effect people as well as things before he got out of control.
Aura was unsure what to make of the girl's words. She made thing's prettier left a lot a room for interpretation. Aura's taste in anything pretty was in eh mind questionable. It was hard to worry about much. She seemed like a happy enough child which brought warmth to her heart. SHe had known few Mutant children other then maybe Kaitlynn.
"i would enjoy seeing your power" Aura said with a reassuring smile. She had been patient more out of letting Venus lead. Still; the question needed to be asked at some point. If the girl's power had not yet surfaced she might be in danger, assuming she was being honest with them anyway.
It occurred to her that had things been different she might be just a wandering mutant teenager, afraid oh showing herself or of being herself. The idea raised many old questions from the shadows but Aura instead focused on the cute kid before them.
The moment she had feared came suddenly. Even when she had tried to prepare plans and lies, the time came too fast. Without warning, she found herself facing the problem she wanted to avoid so badly. None of the many lies that circulated in her mind managed to escaped, and the half truth she used attracted more interest in her powers. The odd couple stared at her with expectation, wishing to see her in action. He even went as far as to savor the moment.
Even if she limited the demonstration to gild something with the gold already stored in one of her nails, neither of them seemed foolish enough to ignore the fact she had stolen the color from their doors. While trying to decide what to do, she changed her body weight from one foot to another, trying to find a comfortable position to deal with that extremely uncomfortable situation. She was completely surrounded by a crowd that blocked any possible escape route. Even if that was not enough, she was surrounded by dangerous mutants.
"Did you hear that?" Said the girl with haste, as if she had suddenly remembered an important appointment. If she had own a pocket watch, she would have taken it to verify that in fact she was running late. Her voice turned into a nervous spasm but she still achieved to make her words sound clear. "It was my dad." Still, the clarity of her words did not hide her nervousness and the lack of hope she had in that improvised plan. Not even her real father with all his money and connections could defend her from an angry mob composed of mutants. "I better get going..." As soon as she pronounced the last letter but before silence fell upon them again, she turned around to escape as fast as her feet could carry her at walking speed.
Her dad? He didn’t hear anyones’ dad much less a dad of a cute little socialite that was standing near a couple of faces easily recognizable on anti mutant posters across the state if not the nation or the world. Nope he didn’t hear or see any many frantically trying to protect his daughter. His tail wrapped around the girl and scooped up the teen.
He spoke in a soothing calming tone, he wasn’t angry in the least, he was however perplexed.“I’m afraid I’m missing something, I thought we were getting along well enough, are you not a mutant? Are you scared of something; I don’t get the sudden hurry? What’s the matter?“ If she made things pretty and used her power on him he wondered at the possibilities. What fantastically irresistible beast would he become?
He looked to the young woman and raised any eyebrow. He was done with the questions, this was the part she started explaining. He hoped it wasn’t something too outrageous as she might upset Aura’s sense of proper respect. He tilted his head looking at the young girl. "we're waiting."
Aura twitched to move, but Venus was faster with his tail. Aura looked around to try and hear if anyone was calling to the little girl, but no one seemed to be. She had expected their to be more commotion as well if someone was looking for the girl, in response to venus's actions. Her Aura flickered on, but with Venus nearby Aura felt they had little cause for worry. The situation had gotten strange very quickly and Aura scanned the Area again to make sure no one was really calling her.
Aura was unsure of the situation but found herself wondering if she was a mutant at all. Abyss handled the question, So Aura folded her arm's and waited, her eyes never leaving the girl. SHe was the Agr where she might have a power if she was lieing about her power in the first place. She had seemed to react when they asked to see her powers.
To say she felt desperation was not enough compared to need to escape that grew with every moment inside her but somehow Celeste managed to remain calm and keep walking. Still, without daring to look back she could not know if she was far enough to be safe but since no one seemed to be following her, she soon convinced herself that it was ok to taste freedom, it was then that a wiry appendix grabbed her by the waist.
Defeated, she turned around to stare at her hosts to discover with horror that the red man had grabbed her with his tail. In other moment Celeste would had screamed or tried to escape, or even use her Taser to burn that red skin that irritated her so much but instead she remained still, knowing that it was impossible to escape.
Knowing she had no way to escape, she attempted to lie again but the words refused to escape her throat so she just heard the questions in silence, still trapped by the red appendage. Her brain ignore her desperate request to fabricate more lies for her, so the girl rushed to pronounced the only truth that would keep her in one piece. At least for a while. "I am a mutant." She said, unable to hide the hatred she felt for that word, while at the same time responding to one of the questions.
She waited in silence for some excuse to appear in her mind, but again, her ideas seemed to dissolve before taking shape. She had no more lies, so she decided to try with the truth. "I did this." She said without showing shame for her work. Only fear. "The Doors." Then the girl carefully lifted her left hand so that both could see the essence of the doors compressed inside her little finger´s nail.
“My dear, you say that as if you aren’t proud.” His curiosity turned to a little bit of sadness. If she thought little of an ability what might she think of his less than human appearance.
He looked into her pretty little eyes trying to figure out if she had anything in her pretty little head.a smirk appeared on his mouth, “let me get this straight. You steal the color from our doors, come to sample the cake we have made at your demand. You talk to those that have done this labor. And you expected to walk away without returning the doors to their original state, and without being chastised for it?”
“This simply will not do.” He looked to Aura. “ What shall we do with her?” he wanted to scare the girl and if anyone could scare a child it was his lovely niece.
It was a very interesting power though Aura had no idea how it would be useful in any situation. Still she considered the young Mutant unsure what to make of her. It may have explained the plan however. Aura had been a bit confused by why the person who left the letter and stole the color wnated them to cook of all things.
"WHile i do not believe this warrants death as all of the victims will be human anyway, however she DID steal from fellow mutants and did force this situation. We could Have allison give her a tattoo, that way if this one decides to be an issue, the ink could be used to knock her out or kill her. or theirs always the quick approach....." she said with a smile and with a sudden twist, her Aura flowed into view, and around her right hand formed an eight inch blade.
In the next few seconds Aura thrust the blade at Celeste's chest. The blade aimed true but it wa snot solid and so as it touched the girl it caused no actual pain or any sensation at all. Nor could it harm anyone as it was. She had simply done it to scare the girl.
(if you have an issue with the post Celeste just Pm me and i will fix it. Aura's blade is not solid so it's harmless)
Even when she knew that the pressure exerted by his tail was the minimum necessary to keep her trapped, Celeste could not shake the feeling of suffocation off of her neck. It was almost as if that odious appendix was squeezing her throat instead of her waist, so in order to stay alive she concentrated on the task of breathing.
Then the man spoke again with his voice full of sadness or perhaps even disappointment. Frightened, Celeste hurried to reply while trying very hard to sound convincing. "I am proud!" She shouted. Since the tone of her voice evidenced that she was on the verge of tears, she cleared her throat and repeated the same thing again in a much calmer tone but still affected by fear. "I am very proud of being a mutant." While she was saying that, she nodded vigorously for a moment until she needed to focus on breathing again in order to calm down.
Even when she managed to calm herself enough to pay attention to her surroundings, all the people around them became mere whispers that she was not able to decipher. Soon, a strange feeling of fatalism grow in her mind to keep telling her that no one was going to come in her help, so she remained silent while waiting for their verdict. She was managing to do it just fine until the woman mentioned a tattoo provoking a desperate denial. "Not a tattoo! Please!" The girl cried, aware that a tattoo was almost worse than dying. But then, before she could continue to lament about her beautiful skin, the woman moved toward her while a strange substance formed a translucent knife in her hand.
Instantly paralyzed by fear and even lacking the ability to scream, she simply watched as the dagger was introduced in her chest. Celeste felt no pain, a fact that could only mean two things... she was dead or nothing happened. But how could she be okay with a knife in her chest? She was dead. So, why was she still breathing and trembling? While thousands of stupid questions started to appear in her head, she noticed she was not even bleeding. Her look of surprise jumped from the strange knife to the woman and then to the man. What had happened?
“Aura!” Venus exclaimed with a healthy dose of worry! He wanted her afraid, remorseful and punished, not dead. He looked down to see that the blade hadn’t in fact made blood go everywhere, which if you had seen Aura work before was exactly what that pink blade typically did. He let out a sigh of relief. His tail flopped the girl into his arms and he began to make way over to the doors, urging Aura along to follow.
“First and most importantly, you are going to fix our doors, you go nowhere until those doors are golden again. Second, we are going to have to find away to ensure you realize that being Primus isn’t anything but glorious…. We need a solution that both ensures you observe your potential and you spend time with others of our kind that know how to live up to their potential.”
He nodded, Little Celeste Manfrella, really should learn to not give out her real name to those that might recognize it. While researching Allison and her family ties, he couldn't set Aura up with just anyone after all, he had started looking into other big name family's in the area, the Manfrella's ran some interesting circles. At least to a woould be socialite playboy like Venus any how.
Aura smiled, she felt she had probably scared the girl enough as even Venus had seemed worried. She had not intended to worry Venus though and so she explained. "I kept the blade non-solid, theirs usually not much reason to do so" she said with a shrug. SHe had never wanted to kill the girl, she was a mutant for one and second her crime while it had made her quite angry had been turned into something wonderful.
Aura deferred to Venus letting him handle Celelst, still she stayed close. Venus was likely a far more rational person to do so. Her name wa snothing to Aura who barely recalled names anyway but she looked at Clelest and had to ask/ "The part that confuses me, is you came back here" she said honestly, not quite understanding why anyone would try such a thing and come back to watch.
"In any case im not in the practice of hurting those of our kind, unless forced" she said cheerfully hoping to calm the girls nerves. Aura smiled as she followed close behind the other two, a way of ensuring the girl would not escape.
A contradictory mix of feelings such as confusion, fear and relief dominated her mind. The energetic knife produced by the woman did not kill or wound her but her courage had suffer really heavy damage to the point where she knew she would not try to escape anymore. It was just impossible to run away from that pink shadow or from his absurdly long tail even if she ran as fast as she can. Does that mean that she was giving up? How could she give up when her life was at stake? She was so scared that she did not complaint when the red man moved her closer to his arms in a protective way. It was also a way to restrict her movement to oblige her to walk to the door and do her magic, but she was glad to have that feeling of safety even when she knew it was false.
Once she caught up her breathing enough to start walking, she moved along with the two mutants while focusing on his words. If she desired to get away unharmed she needed to do everything he say. Returning the color to the door was an easy task, If not for her erratic breathing and her confused state of mind. She will fail several times before accomplishing to create a small circle of golden instead of the expanding liquid ink that she needed to cover the whole door. Time was also a factor to consider, it will take all her neurons working together to focus enough to do it in one pulse. Would be wise to stay quiet or to announce her current weaknesses and pray for mercy? She decided on the second. “I need absolute concentration to do it.” She stated with fear while hoping both of them will get the idea why she would not be able to concentrate fully. It was not the same to do it in the quietness of night and willingly than to be commanded to do it.
The woman was dangerous. It was too risky to ignore her pseudo question or inquiries so she replied as quickly as she could. “I wanted to know if you were doing what I asked.” She stated with feigned innocence. She already knew they were doing what she asked because of the multiple employees she had sent to spy on them. What she really wanted to see was how much they were suffering while serving cakes, certainly it was not something she wanted to do, so she expected them to be angry or annoyed by the task. Unfortunately they were enjoying the free giveaway much more than she could have expected. Why were they so happy about working all day for free? There was something strange there.
