The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

(OOC: PT.1 is the introduction to the final battle, PT.2 will be up soon and will be open for all that would be interested, if so PM me and i'll see if i can give a specific mission in the fight that would aid our success!) IC: The sound of foot steps echoed behind him as him and two hundred of his men walked the Australian plains near the base he was held captive for so long, bad memories came rushing back as he saw the large mountain base covered with torrents and riddled with adapteds that waited for orders from the humans that opposed the take over of Bacchus home land. The clouds in the distance started to turn dark and gray as if foreshadowing the tears that would be spread for the loved ones that would lose their lives.
The area around the mountain was barren and empty perfect for a battle ground holding one of his new toys over his shoulder as he approached a safe distance from the base Bacchus stopped his troops and gazed out upon the battalions of men mutants and adapteds that decided to side with the humans. Two hundred versus at least a thousand, he could tell that the men and women behind him were shaking in fear for the lack of numbers but Bacchus himself was more worried than all combined, it was a curse being friends with all two hundred members of his small force because he knew that half of them probably wouldn’t make it out alive.
-----Two Days Before-----
Slamming his fist on the table Bacchus yelled at the television screen, “What do you mean your only sending me and Hades’s forces?” He couldn’t believe the crap that was spewing from his friends mouth as he continued to stare at the screen, “I understand that you set me up to get captured at the base and you used the information I gave you and the information from the satellites but four hundred verses a thousand plus is suicide!”
His fists clenched as he looked upon his comrade sitting next to him who said nothing, which irked Bacchus beyond belief. Hades had a reputation as being the zero tolerance and zero survivors general. He served directly under Ares and rarely entered battle because his abilities of rising corpses to fight were all he could do. The smell of death was poured out from the old mans breath as he showed no emotions to Bacchus out bursts. He only met Hades once before and that was at one of the first staff meetings but everyone after that Hades or Bacchus was off fighting some sort of battle.
“Please sit down, Bacchus…” said Ares in a calm tone on the television screen as Bacchus slowly sat his knuckles still white beyond belief. Baccus only sat down because despite his protests the fighting would continue and his force would get sent without him if need be. “I have been pondering how to finish this troublesome resistance for some time now and I have come to the conclusion that if we strike the head which happens to be one of the most well kept strongholds under their control. Bacchus your troops will do a direct strike as Zeus and Ra’s forces draw their allied bases attention meaning it will be you two verses the one base. Bacchus I have full confidence in you and Hades and I wouldn’t be sending you two their unless I know you two could handle it…” Bacchus frowned as he watch his old friend adjust his hands to his temple as he continued to stare at the screen which he was sure held an image of himself and Hades sitting next to each other.
“Fine…” Bacchus said as he waved his hand knowing that Ares had some elaborate scheme to keep both Bacchus’s troops and Hades’s alive for the entire fight. Ares had always come through for Bacchus ever since he was little he didn’t think Ares had it in his power to fail. For every scenario Ares had a back up one.
The meeting progressed for another two hours as Bacchus walked out of the makeshift soundproof tent and frowned slightly and turned to see Gunner standing their waiting for orders, “Hey mate…” Bacchus said with a sad smile on his face showing that he wasn’t entirely satisfied with the results of the meetings. “Didn’t go to well did it?” Gunner asked in a caring tone as he started to match Bacchus pace his small black sunglasses reflecting the light as they walked tighter back to his tent. “Not as I could hope but considering the situation it’s the most direct and efficient. At least ten to thirty percent losses at the minimum, all depends how everyone does their jobs…”
Felling a reassuring hand on his shoulder as they entered Bacchus’s general tent he sighed and said, “I assume you know that you won’t be apart of this fight correct?” hearing a small sigh and then the sound of sitting down he was sure that Gunner got the hint, “You never were of a fighter…” letting out a small grin Bacchus sighed and kicked his feet back as he sat in his lazy boy chair something he carried around with him when ever he could.
”I know, odds are I would be the first to be shot…” Bacchus laughed and said, “Naw that first bullet would be hitting my hand as it stretches out in front of you…” Noticing the middle finger from Gunner as he pulled off his sunglasses Bacchus grinned and said, “You were a runner always have been, I couldn’t get serious if I had to look after you, those adapted are no joke, you saw how I looked after I returned from the stealth mission.” Motioning towards his face Bacchus let the look of seriousness stand, “I know, just you know I am going to worry about your fat ass, not only that but Erica and Brooke and Smith would all kill me if you died in the battle.”
The tent echoed with laughter as Bacchus stretched his hand across the room and patted Gunner on the shoulder, “They’d have to catch you for one and if I were them I’d turn my attention to Jon… I mean Ares…” Bacchus corrected himself as he pulled his hand back to notice the look on Gunner’s face. “I know you’re not his biggest fan anymore but you have to understand without him we’d be dead by now…” Bacchus was cut off as the tent opened up as a slender girl ran into the tent with a red face and tears streaking down her face.
Not getting up Bacchus nodded slightly to Brooke who most likely found out that he was almost killed on two different occasions. ”No you’d be dead by now! I am a runner, you're a fighter, and the way,” Bacchus could tell the name was hard for Gunner to spit out “Ares throws you around mission after mission fight after fight it’s a godsend your still alive!”
Gunner crossed his arms as Brooke charged Bacchus and tackled him in his chair, “YOU IDIOT!!!” cried Brooke as she continued to beat his chest as hard as she could knowing full well it would do nothing to the giant, “ I Just saw the pictures and heard what happened!” Bacchus sighed as he patted Brooke’s back as he sat up slightly in the chair as she continued to cry into his favorite shirt, now sure that her tears would most likely stain it. ”Why didn’t you wait for me to get back I would have come with you!” she continued to cry as she pressed her face hard in his chest and continued to mumble that she should have been there.
Sighing and pushing himself up from his lazy boy and in turn Brooke who was still buried into his chest Bacchus patted her on the head and said, “You can’t come where I am gong…” his voice now slightly magnifying to the sound of someone outside of the tent, “That goes for all of you…” this time his voice was not only directed to the two inside the tent but to Erica and Eliza that had come to visit him. It was easier this way, them out of danger Bacchus could truly focus on the fight at hand.

Hearing the pair of footsteps walking away Bacchus pulled Brooke off of him and smiled at her and said, "They got lucky last time, this time I have a small army behind me, men I trust with my life… it will be a landslide victory!” Bacchus said as he lied and put his arms around Brooke pulling her into a tight hug only before signaling Gunner to take her somewhere to rest, it was obvious she was exhausted from the amount of stress everything was putting on her not to mention that Ares had been sending not only her on missions but the everyone else she is close to.
Sometimes Bacchus wished that Brooke went to Antarctica like she had planned on doing after this whole mess started, she would be safe and it was one less person Bacchus had to worry about. As Gunner put his hands and Brooke who was reluctant to let go she looked up to Bacchus and said, “Here… I wanted to give this to you for a while now…” Bacchus blinked as Brooke removed a small leather necklace from her neck which held a small conch shell on it.
Bowing his head so Brooke could put the shell on him Bacchus waited till it was around his neck before he looked up. As he looked up he was blind sighted by Brooke shoving her lips on his. Blinking and looked to Gunner for a hand Bacchus said to them on their way out, “I’ll be back and Brooke… I’ll bring this back… Promise!” said Bacchus through a fake smile and lying eyes.
As they left Bacchus prepared for the trip that would take a day to get to meaning he would have to leave at the latest tomorrow morning at ten. All he needed was the maps and the communicator he and all his men had. Looking at the clock Bacchus was ready to go when two people who took the liberty of entering the tent stopped him shortly. One was a face he wasn’t surprised to see the other was an older man one that he hadn’t seen in at least a year. “Erica… Smith…” Bacchus looked to the old man and then the beautiful girl he had been involved with on and off for almost his entire life.
“You here to say your good byes? It is almost like you guys don’t think I’ll come back.” Bacchus said with a smile as the old man grinned and came in for a hug, ” Wise ass, I’ll know when you die, the ground will shake as the entire continent will weep for the loss of the giant with a heart of gold…” Hugging him Bacchus added, “You forgot soaked in blood and decorated in bone as white as ivory…”
Bacchus and Smith both let out as the old the father figure patted Bacchus on the back and continued, ”We both know that blood wipes off with a little water and polish. Now the reason I am here…” Smith pulled away from the hug as he pointed out to two large vans that were each a carrying a large box and from the looks of it through the opening in the tent each van was weighed down by the contents, ”Made you a little something for the trip, last thing I want is a call saying one of my kids died, besides I think this will give you and your men a laugh or two before you go into battle.”
Smiling and clapping Smith on the back Bacchus smiled and said, “Thank you…” the old man then turned and walked out of the tent waving his hand and said, ”Stop by the ranch when your done on this conquest, it gets lonely when I am there by myself, see ya kiddo…” watching the man vanish on a turn around a tent Bacchus let out a small chuckle, “He never was one for goodbyes.”
It was quiet now with all but the blonde temptress in the tent with Bacchus looking at his communicators watch Bacchus sighed and held it up to her, “Think it’s tim-mha” Once again Bacchus couldn’t finish his thoughts for another woman was wrapped around his neck shoving her lips against his. As the embrace ended Bacchus chuckled, “Think I should leave more often. All the attention I am getting is overwhelming.”
A small huffing sound could be heard as Erica said, ”You do realize if you don’t come back alive I am going to sleep with every guy you told me you hate right?” Bacchus let out a laugh and said, “Come back alive? So if I live and don’t come back what then?” teasingly he smiled and shrugged as she let out her flirtatious laugh, ”Then you’ll miss out, I had a surprise for you when you get back…” Bacchus grinned, “Does it have anything to do with that lace piece?” Bacchus asked with a hopeful grin on his face, ”Maybe…”
Taking a step back Bacchus headed to the two vans and said, “Right I’ll finish this fight in two days…” ”Doesn’t it take you a day to get there and back?” Nodding as he walked out of the tent, “Yep, I’ll get there finish it in an hour and come back…” Letting out a grin he waved to her and said, “See ya love.”
