The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Aura felt one of lasers strike her Aura in the back, which propelled her forward a bit but she managed to keep on her feet, wiping a bit of blood from her lip. She turned around and quickly found her attacker, not to far off, a Robot she had need seen before. It would fire again at least once before she ever made it to the robot. Still it had to be taken down, and so Aura charged forward, and felt the sting of the laser strike her in her shoulder, it slowed her momentum but she kept forward delivering a punch to the robot's chest, her blade tearing through circuitry used to power the robot, essentially shutting it down.
Aura let the blade flow back into her aura not wanting to keep any power on offense when she did not need it any more, Her aura was beginning to strain under the fire. "They May be robot's but those laser's have a good punch to them, a rest may be good though" she admitted as her eyes scanned for of the targets who were trying to fire on her. She knew their were still a few remaining targets but much to her own annoyance she had lost track of just how many had been destroyed.

Leila sighed, dodging a distant robot's lasers. "Alright then." she said loud enough so Aura could hear over the racket. "Pause Simulation," she added, this time at the room itself. As if time had stopped, everything went still. A robot was in mid-leap to attacking her, and all the robots that had been defeated earlier, disapeared. The bar, now that Leila had time to look at it without being attacked, was rather messed up.
She started walking towards her bag, where she'd dropped her water bottle earlier. She drank a big gulp, and then searched through the bag... "There we go..." she said, throwing Aura her spare bottle of icy water. "That was good, we only have... one Robot each to finish off." she said, after scanning the entire room. Leila nodded to herself, watching the still piece of metal that was going to land on it's face once the simulation would start up again. She could come in from the back maybe.
The simulation paused and it took Aura a moment to realize it, she was unused to attackers that could pause at the fighters whim. It was an awesome feature in itself but it alos made her wonder if the facility had some type of rewind button, for the purpose of seeing how different defenses would work against the same attack strategy but she might have been expecting to much. Aura looked around as well noting the damage to the fake building they were in, it was strange she knew ot was fake but her eyes could not tell the difference. "All right" she said still looking around.
Aura cought the ice water with one hand "Thank you, i admit i had underestimated these robot's a bit" she said an admission that was true but one aura did not like much. Underestimating an enemy was a good way to turn up dead and although the combat here was more controlled it made it no less important. "Ever wonder who builds all these robots?" she asked as she drank from the water bottle. She did wish she could restore her aura energy in a faster manner then resting, it took her a way from the battle field. "One each? Gues si lost count" she said wondering if they should have just continued on until the last ones were defeated.

Leila nodded, "Yes," she said, pausing to have one last drink. "They are much more advanced then I would of imagined when I created them. It's a big leap from Level 5 to 6, too. Really gets our heart pumping though, doesn't it?" she grinned, and then put the cap back on the water bottle, putting the drink down again, ready to continue on with the Simulation. There were only two more to go, then they could call it a day.
She walked back towards the Robot she'd been fighting, and then turned on her heels to look at Aura, waiting for her to be ready. Leila positioned herself right behind the robot, knowing this was cheating beyond what she'd normally allow. In real Combat, she couldn't just go and Pause a Simulation, so she could change positions and avoid an attack. She sighed, nodding once. "Okay, one more time and then we can call this practice over?" she said, her comment sounding a little more like a question.
"In three, two, one, Resume Simulation." she ordered, and the Robot started moving again. He noticed her avsence just in time to spin around and strike a nasty kick right in the ribs. Leila gasped, spitting out blood. She wasn't that badly hurt, but she may have to visit the Infirmary afterwards, just to make sure nothing was broken. She licked the blood off her lips, and got to her feet again, just in time to dodge a second aim. She kicked him in the stomach, and he was sent flying to the ground a few feet away.
"I have enjoyed it, it certainly is a leap between the two, but it just makes me look forward to the next one you create" She said closing the water bottle before setting it down. Despite her idea's on how to improve the facility, in truth it was awesome all ready. Their were just two more on this level, which was good, Aura had felt the laser's almost breaking through her barrier a few times, which would have been quite bad.
Aura went back to where she had been standing, visually finding her target, easily in the paused environment. It still felt so strange to be able to pause time even in a place like this. "that is fine with me" she said to Leila glancing over her shoulder at her while she spoke taking Leila's words as a question. In truth this combat was doing what she wanted straining her shield's limit's, only through that could she make it stronger, and one day she would be powerful enough to avenge her friends.
Aura Moved on her opponent calmly, the robot stood it's ground keeping it's weapon trained on Aura closeing the halfway point, Aura broke into a run, moving in a slight zigzag to try and make it harder for the robot to shoot her. Her strategy failed however, as the robot fired low, and struck her foot, tripping her. Aura skidded across the ground to the Robot's feet, and despite a second blast to her chest Aura's arm struck the Robot , cutting into the Metal, but her blow was not a fatal one, her aura had cut but it was shallow, a second blade struck the robot in the stomach this one went a little further but, the robot kneed her in the stomach and Aura could feel the air escape her lungs a long with a bit of blood. Dropping her sheild, she focussed her aura into a single blade and ran in it into the Robot, thigh, making the leg inoperable. Without the Leg Aura was able to move behind the robot, and finish it with a final slash to the neck, though her aura again covered her body, it was much thinner then it had been before she had started.

Leila felt her lips twitching upwards just a tiny bit at Aura's compliment towards her Simulation. She wasn't really a Techno-geek, but she had to admit, this was a pretty awesome one. She didn't really feel any surprise that Aura liked it so much, or that it was by far, her favorite, because she'd spent so many hours on this thing, trying to get it perfectly. The scene too, it was a mixture of a Bar she'd been in a while ago on her Trip to Australia, and a mix of a Local Club.
After her Robot was on the ground, Leila moved closer to it, waiting until it got up again. It started running towards her, and then, when it was just about to strike, she jumped over the Laser that had been aimed for her stomach, and then landed (on her two feet) on the Bar's counter. The robot spun around at that same instant, and the two stared at each other, brown eyes locked in black, empty ones. She crouched down just the tiniest bit, working on her new found abilities. It had been so long since she'd been able to shift in her Dolphin state, even when hitting salt water.
Right now, she was going to try and shift, working as hard as she could, concentrating on only that....Concentrate...Concentrate.....Sweat was pouring down her neck, her forehead, her chin. She gritted her teeth togwether, concentrating even harder. Nothing seemed to change... until....
Slowly, she felt her muscles getting heavier, hurting. They were burning now, and she was feeling her limbs changing, a fin growing on her back and two on each side of her body, about 7 inches under her arm pits.. Her skin seemed to get stronger, and the color was changing too (Although this, she couldn't see as she was still fixed on the Robot). The process was slow though, and the Robot's expression did not change, it couldn't anyway. She smiled a evil smile at the thought of her Mutation working again, but about a minute later, she could see Aura was about to finish off her own Robot also.
The transformation was complete, and Leila could feel two whole legs, two whole arms and a strong tail wipping around, smashing the remaining glasses to the ground. She felt strong and beautiful, her tail ready to smash the robot in halves. Two seconds. That's all the time it took for her to launch herself in the air, and for the tail to hit metal. The sound it made was deafening, the robot was in pieces, and her body was crouched like an animal after attacking his prey.
Aura looked over to leila and her robot which according to the numbers should have been the last one, which was good, Aura' field had greatly weakened and she was unsure if another direct strike would penetrate or not. She knew it was getting close however. She walked a bit closer to leila and her robot, wanting to watch how the other girl would take it out. She seemed to be in deep concentration for something but what she wondered.
Aura looked over at the beautiful transformation with excitement. Her eyes looked over Leila's new body, her skin had changed color and she had grown several fins and a lovely tail, it was enough of a site that Aura for a moment forgot where she was. As her tail struck metal Aura covered her ears and the loud noise of crunching metal filled the area. That tail had taken out the Robot as if it were a simple tin can.
Aura looked around the battlefield it was almost hard to believe the entire landscape was fake. It did look convincing, but that was also prolbely the point. With all the Robot's gone she looked back at Leila with a smile at what she considered a beautiful form. She had truly enjoyed the work out and now she was determined to train here more. It seemed it could serve her much better then her room could the live fire did wondered for the heard and mind to.

Leila was panting, that tail wasn't meant to be that strong, she knew that. Slowly, she caught her breath and started noticing the pain that smash had caused to the magnificant tail. 'I guess I shouldn't put that much strentgh in my blows anymore.' she thought, wipping her tail from side to side, trying to get the blood rushing back through it. Just a few hours and it would be back to normal. Now, how was she supposed to transform back? That was a good question, she had the feeling it might be harder to transform WereDolphin to human, and she had the feeling she'd be terribly weak afterwards.
Leila jumped off the counter, gently landing on her two feet. She caught Aura's smile and grinned back, examining her pale grayish blue hands. She walked over to Aura, wondering weather the transformation had scared her at all. "It's the first time I ever got to do that." she explained, remembering the first time they'd met. She'd been rather exited about the Mutant Growth, and had told Aura all about the changes. Now, the young girl was the first one to actually see them. The very first, not even Leila knew the beauty she was.
After examining the Bar -- or what was left of it at least -- Leila put a hand on Aura's shoulder. "We did good, didn't we?" she said with a smirk, "We'll have a lot of fun at future missions." she added, and then wipping her tail again, she took a deep breath. That had really tired her out. "Simulation, off!" she ordered, and the room quickly disolved into it's metalic form once more. Now where was that bottle of water when you really needed it?
"Really? it's quite beautiful" She said happy to get a closer look over the transformation. "I recall our talk from before as well, i see why you were excited, the power in that tail is Awsome" she said recalling how easily the robot had been destroyed but not quite catching on, to the pain the other girl was in from it. "Do you know if you can change back? I mean i would not mind you staying this way" Aura paused as she turned to look around the field they had been fighting in he liked hanging around Leila for reasons she did not quite understand. Turning back she continued on "It's just it would be a lot harder to hide from the mansion people like when you saved me like this, i am pretty sure their are not to many Dolplins with legs walking a round NYC" she said honestly.
"Yes we did well, it was a lot of fun, yes if the missions will be have as fun as this, then i will be happy to dance any time" She said as she watched the room melt back into the metallic form and looked back at her friend. her Own Aura faded a way and if melting into her skin, but in truth it simply faded a way. Aura walked over to the Bag and tossing one of the water bottles toward, Leila, not even thinking about if she could catch things in the form though she assumed she could.
Aura pushed her own emotions aside and stretched a bit, the training had been draining, espeshelly on her power, and though she had not mentioned it another direct shot would have likely went through her aura the more she considerd it. Gathering her hair behind her, she brought a clump of it over her shoulder. "Even with the missions, i think i would like to do this with you more often" she said looking over the Dolphin girl again.

Leila winced slightly at Aura's mention of the tail. "Yeah, I bet it was pretty cool, but I doubt I'll be able to do that much. It hurts a lot!" she admitted with a wide grin. Being described as beautiful really was something she was very used to, but she'd never really thought of a half Dolphin, half person as beautiful. In her head, she imagined herself being rather ugly. She turned her head slightly, looking at herself through pieces of shattered glass. "I do look fine," she laughed softly, wipping her tail around a little.
Leila shrugged. "I think I'll be able to shift back." she said, "I wouldn't really mind not being able to though, truthfully, the Mansion is getting very boring and the X's ought to be about to figure things out. Gee, I knew that they didn't have big brains, but I'm nearly never there anymore! The excuses I give are getting rather lame too." she sighed, rolling her eyes. "I'm not going to miss that Mansion though, so no big deal if they do see me this way." she concluded with a shrug.
Leila rubbed her hands together as Aura started to walk back to the bags. She held her hands out for the bottle, a little curious as to how these hands were good at catching. She had a little trouble keeping the grip, with her skin being just the tiniest bit slimy, but the bottle didn't go anywhere after it was safely between her hands. She opened the bottle and took a few large gulps, nodding towards the brunette.
"I'd like that too. Regular sessions with you could pay off. I do need a bit more training with this." she said, gesturing at her own, new, body. "She closed the distance between the two, finishing up what was last of her water. "So, do you mind if I walk back with you to whereever you're going next?" she asked. "I don't have a room here yet, but I'll just stop at the nearest bathroom and try to shift before heading back 'home'." she said, putting a little emphisis on the last word.
Aura considered the idea the transformation might well be painful, she considered things beautiful based normally on how lethal something was. "Maybe the pain mean's theirs still some changes to come?" She asked thinking. She had no idea why it might be painful, but it made no sense to her that the change would always be painful though she had nothing to base this from she simply assumed nature would work it out.
"Your expecting a people who try to protect those that would hunt them like live stock to figure out the obvious." She said with a shrug. She could not understand the idea of protecting someone who would strike you down. It was always a better plan to kill them before they could kill you She had met somewhat few of them though. How many of them were there, she thought to herself. "Well i think i mentioned this but if you need help playing with them, im game" She said having no idea of what mansion security even was.
She was glad Leila enjoyed their training and Aura liked the idea of it becoming more frequent "I had considered grabbing something to eat actually" She said as she took a drink from her water bottle. "So why did you join the Mansion anyway?" She said curiously, their had to be a reason but she did not mind of she did not get one. Some things were private and she could respect that. "Theirs a bathroom in the DIning hall, or you could use the one in my room" She offered in case Leila wanted something a bit more private.

Leila shook her head, "I don't think so. I'm nearly certain I just over used it. Dolphins don't have tails that can puncture through metal, so I don't think mine would normally be able to either. Maybe it was just all the muscles I had in there that hadn't been used in a while. I have no clue though, I guess it's just something else we'll have to find out about as time goes." she said, her tail flicking from left to right a few times.
Leila laughed, "Actually, I do. They aren't totally stupid, you know." she laughed slightly, "I lived with them long enough to know that. As far as the protecting humans go, I would of figured they'd learnt by now, the Order is right, and they are oh so very wrong." she sighed, they would just have to learn it the hard way. Once the humans kills them all, they'd understand a little better. For now though, Leila would just have to laugh at them from afar.
Leila nodded, "Eating sounds like a fine idea." she said, smiling. "When I first joined at the X-Mansion, I was new at the Mutant thing. I mean, I had my powers for a while, but I was surprised I wasn't the only one...It's a long story. Anyway, I met this guy that lived at the Mansion, and he sort of got me thinking. Eventually, I found out about the Mansion, as it's pretty easy to find, even for Humans." she took a pause, letting this sink in.
"So yeah, I just dropped at their door step one day, and I was lucky enough to witniss an Order attack that same evening. It was pretty intense, but some of the words I heard convinced me I was at the wrong place. I didn't really think of it much for a few days, but a good month later, I was a baddie, ready to have my serve of revenge on the humans that had done terrible things to us." she spat the word 'Human' as if it was a very filthy dog.
Aura had no idea what the strength of a normal Dolphin tail had. It sort of made sense though that Leila would end up with the same relative strength as a real Dolphin in those area's. SHe Assumed Leila was right, after all she would know far more about dolphin's then herself. Her own Knolige of Dolphins consisted of knowing they were not fish and their relative shape and color. Either way as she said, time would tell them what would happen in the future.
"Well an intellagent opponent can be much more fun" She offered lisaning to Leila's words. They prolbely were smarter then she was giving them credit for, but it was easy to make fun of them now if only becuse it just the two of them. "Numericly the Human's are doomed anyway, my friend Solkat once told me, it's easy for two humans to have a mutant child, but much rarer for two mutants to have a human child, which means Humans will eventually be replaced no matter what the x-men or anyone else does" She went on, as far as she knew it was true.
"i see, i almost eneded up thare for a bit myself if not for frostys want to turn me in" she said and it was true up until he had mentioned that issue she would have been fine going with him, though she also a good feeling in her chest she would not have lasted long, she enjoyed fighting far to much. "Well im glad things worked for you the way they did, it brought you here" She said as she moved down the hall way to the Dinning hall. She was Glad Leila was with the order, it gave her, her first good female freind and that was importent to her. She sat down in the Dinning hall considering what she wanted to eat.

Leila's mind trailed, trying to figure out what Solkat had meant. "Yeah, I know my Science enough to know that usually, you get your parents' genes, or any close relative's. I mean, one way or an other, you'll have a relative that is a Mutant in order for you to be one. So, once you have even one Mutant parent, the changes are you'll be one too." she said, wondering if she made any sense at all. "Neither of my parents were mutants." she confessed, "But neither was I, until my father purposely mutated me." she spat.
Leila, deep down, would do anything to be human again. She hated her abilities, and how people trated her kind. On the other hand, she had made amazing friendships in the past few months, and she would certainly never trade that for the world. Maybe, she was just made to be a Mutant, and in a few years from now, if ever she decided to have children, she'd raise them to think positive about what they were.
Leila's attention spiked up at the mention of Frosty. She knew Sam? "I see, well I guess the X's do that kind of stuff. They care about Humans more then they care about their own kind." she said, opening the door for Aura. They walked a little bit, making their way towards the dining room. Leila had no idea what she was hungry for, but she didn't really care.
"Yeah, I'm glad too. Though, if 4 months ago, someone would of told me I'd be in a Fraction called the Order, along with other people with Super abilities, I would of laughed." she said, leaning against the counter. (Her tail wouldn't allow her to sit down on a chair yet) She smiled softly. 'That was a day's work well done.' she thought, flexing her grayish blue fingers, and then glancing at her tail again.
