The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The thought of trying to catch a Stalker sounded like a suicide mission, or at least one with severe consiquences. Ali remembered bits and pieces of seeing what those robots could do. Though at the time she was a bit more pre-occupied with trying to escape so she didn't have time to sit and take notes on the robots.
After being aided with some directions on where to find the training room Ali entered it. She found a few others had already gathered. Not all of them were known to her but she wouldn't let that slow her down. If she could help then she would put forth her full focus to the task at hand.
Tris listened intently as Abyss spoke, glad they were getting to the logist/coming up with a plan portion of todays programe. However, she was soon distracted from Abyss's talk of stratergy by....another Abyss smiling at her, oh dear, this could quickly get confusing, Tris imagined it would be like talking to identical twins, only seven times worse.
"Why hello there Miss, My name is Venus." He said while taking Tris's hand and kissing it. Tris grinned back at the large red man, intrigued and just alittle bit enchanted- she'd always had a thing for the old movies, with the guys and the dancing, but anyway...
She herself looked him over, head to toe, as a slow and wicked grin crept into her expression. Just because he seemed sweet and polite didn't mean she had to be. It was rude to tease someone you just met, but Tris didn't live by standard conventions of morality.
"Well hmmmm, I'd always imagined the goddess of love to be fairer, maybe with like a golden glow, and ya know, more woman shaped."
She watched his eyes carefully as well, not everyone got her humour.
Tris would get round to the swapping of information and powers and ideas thing that Abyss had started, she really would, but right now she was kinda busy, flirting took priority. So there she stood, having yet to get her hand back from the charming hulk of a man who held it.
Tris was enjoying herself, glad he got where she was coming from, and finding she had to chuckle at his comments, he was very smooth this one.
" ah, god, goddess, they are one in the same where love is concerned." He got her humor and returned with it lightly. " Might my name fit you more? Perhaps if you will take mine I could have yours. Or perhaps if you would rather find out how accurate this talk of dietyship comes to truth, we might find time after or before this mission."
Unable to keep the smile from her face, and eyebrow raised for good measure, Tris replied; "My my, you certainly have the arrogance and stature of a deity of sorts- maybe there is some validity to your claims. " she winked and laughed as she swiped her hand back, brown eyes glinting with mirth the only answer to his oh so kind offer, but she did relent slightly; "It's a pleasure to meet you Venus, you can call me Tris."

Shogun shook his head disapprovingly as Tris and Venus made their way into a more private room. Turning his attention to Kaz, he responded to the man's original question. He decided to give Kaz quite a lot of information, as anything he knew could only be useful in the uncoming battles. "I am Antonescu's samurai. I am blind, but I can sense anything living nearby up to a great distance away. I can also sense non-living things, but that is less accurate, and is blocked by anything solid, where my sensing of the living suffers no such restrictions. I have also been outfitted with several pieces of equipment. The first is this armour, which stops any metal from touching me. I also have been given this sword." He drew the sword, which was only a short staff, but then he released the blades from both ends, spun it around and split it in two at the same time so that he was left holding a pair of blades. "This are the sharpest swords that can be made. Hades has also helped, giving me these arrows," He gestured to the quiver at his back as he reattached his sword so that he could use one hand to pull out a psyite grenade, "And these grenades, which I can use to cover a Stalker in psyite, which would allow me to sense them as though they were living." hat seemed like a good summary, he mused as he returned the grenade to his belt, and his sword to his sheath. "I prefer personal combat, but I can reliably kill a man up to a hundred metres away with my longbow, and if Antonescu has brought my horse from Japan, I can ride into battle." That seemed to be about it. "Will you be accompanying us on this mission, or will you merely be observing and guiding?"
Voltaire heard the conversations from the hallway. He stood just outside the door. He heard the conversation between the man named Kaz and the samuria person. He walked on to the doorstep and said to the person named Kaz:"I might as well introduce myself too." "My name is Voltaire and as you might have noticed, i can blow stuff up trough some kind of energy shocks." "Come into the hallway if you need more information, i'll be waiting there." he said as walked into the hallway again and started leaning against the wall. He crossed his arms again and looked down at his feet as if he wanted to rest.
It was a good thing she had arrived early, because as soon as she finished eating (and sharing) her tuna fish sandwich, people started to arrive. Katrina stayed crouched in her hiding place, out of sight from everyone except people who were leaning on her wall. As soon as the leaning on the wall trend started, Katrina started imagining herself looking invisible, or rather imagined herself looking just like the space would look like without her in it. Hopefully if any of those wall leaning people glanced over behind the equipment she was hiding behind, they wouldn't see her.
She heard, but didn't see, Kazelf's entrance. He growl yawned impressively and jumped down from the rafters up above. He was up there the whole time? How did he even get up there? He must not have noticed her coming in, because he would have said something to her for sure.
She recognized several of the voices from hearing people at the meeting, and there were two new voices as well. One of the new people said he was a scientist, the other one seemed quieter. He leaned against her wall close to her hiding place, and she could see he was wearing a hood that covered his face. He of course could not see her, since she was invisible.
Tris, who had introduced herself at breakfast and had been at the meeting, also leaned against the wall, between Hoodie and one of the Abysses, Katrina was unsure which one. They all seemed to be out and hanging out in different areas of the room.
The cat had wandered away, ignoring her now that she no longer had fish to share, and a few moments later, there was a small explosion and Hoodie rushed out of the room, apparently injured. Katrina heard Mr. Science following him and offering help. That was just a little startling. Katrina crouched down even further.
Things were really picking up in excitement now. Several more people had arrived, and Abyss started sharing what his powers were to help figure out a plan for tactics. At least one of the Abysses did. The one leaning against her wall, Venus he called himself, was flirting with Tris. And doing a good job of it too. Katrina blushed furiously, not that anyone could see. She also took mental notes. Flirting might be a necessary skill at some point in the future, and it wasn't often that it was done well.
People followed Abyss' lead and started sharing their abilities. The new guy, who had caused the explosion could cause explosions, and the samurai was blind and could sense living things. Part of her brain registered that he liked horseback riding like she did but the rest of it was thinking crap.
Crapcrapcrapcrap. He's blind so it doesn't matter that I'm invisible to him, does it? But he ignored me, he was the first one here. She was both relieved and slightly peeved by his ignoring of her presence. Now it remained to be seen, or not seen in the samurai's case, whether he would continue to ignore her.
It was good that everyone at the meeting was sharing their powers, so they could figure out a strategy. The meeting was a little disorganized though. She wasn't even sure if it had officially started, since people kept walking in, and out in the case of Tris, Venus, and Hoodie.
No one was leaning on her wall anymore, so Katrina stopped imagining herself as invisible. She had been doing it for at least a solid five minutes or more, maybe closer to ten, and she wasn't sure how long she could keep it up. When she had practices illusions with Hunter, she had played oboe and practiced sound illusions on and off for half an hour or so, then had passed out from a visual illusion that was too complex for her. She was trying not to pass out today. If anyone came close by again, she'd switch back to invisibility, but for now she would rest.

Within several minutes Crystal realized that something must have been planned for this particular room. The child-feline duo was quickly joined by others. After the first two arrived, she decided to devote full attention to the current going-on. Her first order of business: use the available systems to analyze each new arrival as thoroughly as possible.
First, of course, where the child and the feline. Crystal did not have access to biological scans, and thus could not conclusively tell whether the cat was fully animal, or a mutant. Preliminary scans seemed to favor the former. The child, on the other hand, was most definitely a mutant. When Crystal turned back to the room, the girl had vanished from her optics. However the heat signature remained.
Next came an older man, dressed as an ancient samurai in gold armor. He held a staff which, on further scanning, proved to be concealing a pair of blades, but not made of metal. Interesting.... There were no obvious mutations, however she did register some sort of energy coming from his armor. She set a section of memory to analyze the field and the blades, and marked him as one to keep an eye on.
Another entered, a fairly nondescript male, with the exception of his yellow irises. He addressed the samurai as 'Shogun', and Crystal filed the name away. Again, he showed no obvious mutation, other than the eyes.
A third man arrived, and began handing out various items to Shogun.
Over the next few minutes, others arrived, and Crystal watched carefully, gleaning what she could without revealing herself. The most interesting of the arrivals were a group of seven seemingly identical men. Their size and skin-tone marked them as obvious mutants, but Crystal wondered if there was another power other than the obvious.
The next most interesting arrival came from within the room itself. Crystal watched a sliver-haired man drop to the floor, and wondered why she hadn't noticed his appearance earlier. He appeared to be some kind of shape-shifter, changing appearances even as he fell. She recorded the scene, to review later.
Three women joined the men, bringing the total up to twelve, including the child and the feline. Crystal found it amusing that, as of yet, no one had mentioned the girl's presence. There were innumerable mutations in the world, but surely at least one of those present had enhanced senses of some sort.
She took special interest in the explosive result as the feline came, apparently, a little too close to one of the men.
For a brief moment Crystal considered revealing her presence, in order to interrogate those present as to their full abilities. But she decided against it in the end. Perhaps as a silent observer she could learn a few extra tidbits, the interesting bits that mutants tended to hide or conceal when they thought no one was looking.
((Back from warming up- and no I can't seem to do the link thing, lol))
Tris walked back into the room with a million dollar smile, head held high and trailed by a great big red hulk of a man. She strode easily back to the handy wall she had been leaning on, turning to face the room; “Sorry everyone.” She announced breezily to everyone at large, though she sounded anything but; “Venus had a slight…..cramp, but he’s been dealt with now.” She grinned mysteriously at all the interpretations her words could conjure. “Did we miss much?”

Ali stayed where she was even after the re-emergance of one of the big red guys and Tris. It seemed that who ever was in charge here wasn't doing a very good job of keeping order. Then again it wasn't her place to babysit everyone in the room.
Continually feeling the heat signatures of those around her Ali felt one that seemed to just appear. It was as if a curtain had been dropped which revealed yet another signature. She had felt it before on several occasions. It was the young girl she had initially met back at the mansion after the raid, but the girl seemed to be keeping to herself.
Before she could try to formulate the reasoning behind Katrina's hiding Ali was addressed by yet another of the big red guys. He informed her of what was going on and Ali replied in a general announcement.
"I'll fight from a distance as well as up close. Let's just say I bring a new meaning to the phrase bring the heat."
As Voltaire was in the hallways again he saw the red haired woman return to the room. "Were is the red person she left with?" he thought. He did not ponder of that for too long seeing as the red person already return to the room.
More and more people entered the room and Voltaire found out he had the tendency to observe people from within the hallway. Sometimes he took a peek in the room to look what the people inside the room where doing. He sometimes found himself staring at the confidant red haired woman who left with the red person. "What where they doing and what would her powers be" He thought. "Must be something very powerfull seeing as how confident she is." He then looked at the strange fellow who offered him to make a device to help him. He pondered over what his ability could be but he did not do that long. He figured that it had to be something to do with his ability to make "devices" for other mutants. The samurai interested him too. He always trained in the martial arts and knew his way with it's weaponry, but to see a real life shown him that there are people who take it to the next level. He saw a woman with long red hair and tattoos in the shape of flames. "She didn't hide the nature of her powers." he thought. He found all the people in the room very fascinating, not knowing what there abilities where he was just pondering and making guesses over them while standing alone in the hallway.
Nox stood and watched as various occurrences played themselves out: the evident lack of control the hooded figure displayed; the rather flirtatious exchange between the girl and one of the red guys by the name of Venus; the various introductions made, and the appearance of a young girl, the owner of the heat signature it seemed. Most interesting to her where the introductions, which she skimmed all the useful information out of in order to have a brief understanding of her ‘team-mates’. Introducing yourself did seem to be the fashionable thing to do and so she followed suit. She wasn’t happy with others knowing about her, yet she understood when working together it was essential, but that didn’t mean she had to be specific. “Nox. Manipulator of the electromagnetic spectrum, meaning I can control radio and micro waves, heat, visible light, UV, x-rays and gamma rays. And I’m rather partial to knives, both in combat and to throw.” That summed things up quite nicely, she thought. It seemed they were waiting for another, so Nox entertained herself by watching the others, trying to understand who she would be working along side.
No one had offically answered her question, but as Tris listened Raven Fire's speech, she gathered they were still at the 'state your power and your business' intro bit. So while Tris was totally bummed she'd obviously missed a description of some peoples powers, she comforted herself with the fact that since they were still at this point, she hadn't missed much.
...and besides, she had a feeling that if she was nice and flashed Venus a smile or two, he might just 'fill her in' on the content once he'd done whatever mindmeld thing him and the other Abyss's did- come to think of it, that would make lovely dinner conversation.
Tris decided to jump in and get her introduction over with after Raven finished speaking, after casting an appreicatiely smile her way at the other girls wicked sense of humour- sounded like a person Tris could get along with. Tris had been breifed by Hunter on atleast the first group of new arrivals to the labs, and Tris knew Raven spoke the truth.
But Nox must have been thinking the same thing, and she jumped in first, and only after a nod of reconition to the women after she's finished did Tris begin again.
"Hey, I'm Tris." Tris annouced to the room at large. Taking her cue from Raven Fire, a teasing smile lit her face as she started off with; "I've got what some may call an explosive personality....." she said, pausing for dramact effect, before relenting and getting on with the business side of things- she wasn't particularry pleased about lettting strangers know her powers, but it was a senible and practical idea. "I wont bore you guys with the science-y stuff, suffice to say, I can blow things up, or blow the air moleclues up in front of a person so they go flying. I have great aim, and I've never met a metal I couldn't atleast make a decent dent in....but I haven't enncountered everything yet. While, having seen pictures, I doubt I could blow a whole stalker up, I do believe I can help you bag one......also, I can freeze things and people, (she glanced at Venus while saying this, a sly grin on her features), not for long and it doesn't always work- newer power ya see, its abit erractic so I wouldn't rely on it, just thought to mention it as full disclosure (.....and laugh at Venus). As for fighting, I prefer range stuff, put me somewhere close to the fighting and I can pick the targets off for you guy, watch your backs....though if it comes to it, I'm not terrible as a melee fighter either."
Tris slouched back- her speech done, taking a deep breath. Wow, that was alot of talking.
As Mandain didn't get the attention from Hades that he wanted he redirected his attention too himself. He needed some time to clear his mind and think some stuff over. He now went from leaning against the wall into a meditation position on the floor and Horus started speaking up his mind "Maybe shield ion, maybe fun? Hahahaha' His evil words were a good idea, thought the plan was just for some attention. He overheard some people introducing themselves, among them was Ali, and some girl named Tris, who could explode stuff, how nice. Mandain started charging up the ion's in his body, positive versus negative, getting more loaded by the second. The highly purple concentrated ion shield now formed over Mandain. "Did it you Hahahaha" "Yes Horus now shut it, lemme think" His thought were about the mission ahead. There were way to much people here, with to many of them they would draw more attention then they wanted. Narrowing down the group would help a lot. Anyway they had to focus, no playing or fooling, An "elite" squad would be ideal.

Kami, fully recharged after his considerable meal, stepped forward. “I have exceptional endurance,” he began in an explanation of his power, “And also the ability to manipulate my energy in a unique fashion.”
Holding up his hands palm up he created a ball of energy above each. “Kinetic energy,” he explained, “and the bigger the ball, the greater the energy.” To prove his point he increased each ball to the size of a football and threw them at the wall, where they impacted loudly and made a sizeable dent in the reinforced metal.

Hades just noticed Mandain as he was turning away, but did make eye contact with him. Since everybody was revealing their powers, it should only be fair that he should reveal his, well some of his. Since coming here, he had mentally ‘sealed’ away his poison and phasing power, although e did still train it. He had also recently discovered that he could control a thin strip of poison and direct it like a snake.
Hades felt slightly guilty not revealing more about himself, so after nodding to Mandian making it clear that he wanted to talk/listen to him, he once more spoke.
“My name is Hades, and besides being a scientist, and in charge of retrieving and delivering the stalker back to the lab, I also am an augmented, genetically enhanced human, as my specialty is genetics. My speed, strength, endurance, all five senses have been boosted to inhumane levels.”
After this he walked to Mandian. “You wanted to speak to me?” he asked
