The mansion residents might change but the mansion is always the mansion, a place of youths learning their powers, and older mutants helping people grow.
She didn't care what anyone said. She had failed the test. And even if she had passed once before, the idea of 'once an X-man, always an X-man' seemed silly to her. Like saying once a king of narnia, always a king. Or Fillory, or whatever magical land have you. The idea was a lie. A fairytale. A fantastic story. But just because it was, didn't mean she couldn't still sneak into the danger room to practice her talents. She still knew the code, or could talk someone into it. Some students might have access even if they weren't X-men. People still broke the rules. The mansion rarely changes.
As she walked into the entryway, Amelia considered what sort of scenarios she was going to run. She had some ideas, but-- something made he stop in her tracks. Lately, she was running into people from her past, people she had not seen in years. So this one only made sense. "Gina?" Amelia gaped. "Holy hell, I haven't seen you in ages! How have you been?" She rushed up to greet the gargoyle girl. Gargoyle woman now, she supposed.
